71 Formula 455 HO
Since we are talking about Laurenthian Green HO Formula's, I thought I'd post one of mine. I purchased it last year from the original owner in MD, who had purchased it for her husbands 50th birthday in 1971. I can't belive how many of these cars seem to be L green, but then every 70 Stage 1 seems to be brown. The car needs work, but is all there. It was repainted black at some point, but was green. It has the optional ram-air set up as well.

wow, good first post and a very nice find on a one owner HO, looks like a highly optioned car. I saw a Laurentian Green '71 455HO in Austin a few years ago that was sold on this forum, does seem like a large number of green HO cars here lately. Ram Air was pretty scarce in '71 so you have one of not many remaining I'm sure.

71 HO Formula
Thanks for all of the positive comments guys. I thought you might also enjoy this piece of paperwork that I got with the car- I also have the p.o.p. It's fun sharing a good find with people who appreciate it- my wife is supportive because she knows how much I enjoy cars, but as you might guess she does not really understand the facination.

very nice to have the original dealer invoice, I assume a factory official car could be an advertising car or an executives car, looks like they kept it till the end of the model year. I wonder if the 71 X 40 means the car had 40 options, or is that even possible? Would love to see the PHS on it

that was a nice car too, I spoke to the owner a couple of times and wanted to drive down and make an offer on it but I hesitated and it sold. I still have the PHS on it somewhere, seems like it had around 30 options. Get him to post some current pics of it if he will.

very nice car! I'd love to see the data tag with the special paint code on it. As you said, with all of them turning up lately, I'm starting to get the feeling that quite a bit more survived than I originally thought.

Nice Formula. It sure looks great in black. I was wondering why the original owner ordered the car in primer and then had the dealer paint it black when all he would have had to do was order the W51 special paint optoin for $113 and specify Starlight Black which was available in 1972 on the A and G body Pontiacs. Either way, it was a great color choice.
