[70lemansport]

Hey,
I finally got my sh*t together and got my engine and trans rebuilt. I got it back today and it is freikin awesome. It is a 70 lemans vert with a 350 bored 40 over, summit 2801, 9.1 cr with 2200 stall and a shift kit. It may not seem like alot but ive had this car for 4 years, im 19, and its my first car. I am so pumped i cant stand it. The thing pulls like semi and sounds amazing. Ill get a video and post it up or somthin but just wanted to share. Builder says it should be making between 280 and 300hp at the crank with about 370 ft-lbs of tourque. If anybody here lives around maryland, Luke Eveland of Evelands customs, in easton is the fawkin man. He did this thing right. And now the let down. Driving it around was amazing (even though its an act of god to stop it) until one of my old power steering lines took a dump. I need to know which line is the return line and which is the high pressure line for the pump so i can order a new one. Its kinda a downer on such an awesome day but still...im so happy. As soon as i break it in ill get some Drag strip numbers and post them up too. Thanks.--Pat

Sounds great. Glad you found a good builder. There's a lot of bad ones about.
Not sure about your exact car, but GM usually makes the low pressure return hose with gear clamps or similar on the ends whereas the high pressure line has special swaged fittings to connect the hose to the tubing.
