Oh cool you're in IL. You ever go to the car shows in Elmhurst during summer? One of their theme nights is old service vehciles.

Chicago FD used Caddies til 73, and the FD Chief didn't want to give them up when vans were replacing wagons.

TOOK IT OUT FOR ITS LONGEST RIDE YET. 11 MILES ROUND TRIP! WOW. NO PROBLEMS. I HAD TO BRACE UP THE "y" CONNECTOR HEATER HOSE THAT GOES TO THE REAR HEATER. IT LEAKED A LITTLE THE LAST TIME I TOOK THE CAR OUT FOR A RIDE. SO FAR IT LOOKS TO BE WORKING. JUST TOO MUCH STREE ON THOSE HOSES, JUST HANGING IN THE AIR. I DON'T KNOW HOEY LASTED SO LONG BEFORE.

Very hot. I had seen it on Craigslist and thought about picking it up for myself but northern car=rust. Those cars weren't made with the best materials and rusted out BADLY.

That's a cool car. I was watching a show about the Kennedy assassination last week and they showed an ambulance that pick up the president body at Andrews Air force Base in Maryland. I noticed it was a Pontiac, I wonder where it is now, and how much it would be worth if found?

It was on ebay not long ago and I think it went through B-J awhile back...No sale though as I recall as I think they wanted somewhere around $50,000 for it.

Default SNOW SUCKS..........

i think the rear heater core is leaking, may have to bypass all that, and be done with it.

How many cars can you fit on your house lot? Do you get any grief from your village? My burb says max of 3 cars can be on a driveway overnight. :P

Luckily I live in condo with huge parking lot. Some neighbors have 3-4 cars.

my driveway is full in the summer, but all cars are behind the sidewalk. i have 9 cars and my trailer. in the winter i can store my van and trailer at a neighbor's house. i strip cars here all the time, for years, village doesn't have a problem. my neighbors are nice, they don't mind. i don't like messes, so i keep everything neat. stuff that doesn't sell after 6 months gets scrapped. cops and village leave me alone.

i think in the spring i am going to bypass the rear heat system. rear core may have a small leak now. I haven't took the time to fix the rear blower yet either.

DS,
Great job!
I love it when someone steps up to preserve the cars no one seems to want to touch.
These cars IMO deserve it just as much as any other Pontiac.
You have interesting taste but good taste indeed

You're also very lucky to have such great neighbors; it’s become rare to live around folks such as that.
I too am lucky in that way and really appreciate it.

If you don’t already know of it here is link to a site I found while researching something on the web.
I think you’ll enjoy it.
Hope it helps past the time while the ice melts.

Keep up the great work!

P.S.
Would love to see those Holloween pics

THANKS! THE LINK IS COOL, NEVER SAW THAT BEFORE. YA, MY NEIGHBORS ARE COOL. EVERYTHING IS NEAT AND ORGANIZED AROUND HERE, AND MY NEIGHBORS ACTUALLY HELPED ME UNLOAD IT INTO THE DRIVEWAY. THEY WERE EXCITED TO SEE IT DRIVE A FEW MONTHS LATER. VERY NICE PEOPLE. PEOPLE AROUND HERE HAVE BUSY LIVES AND DIFFERENT HOBBIES, SO PEOPLE DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF.

I APPRECIATE THE NOTE. I'LL TRY TO DIG UP SOME HOLLOWEEN PICS. LATER ERIC

Did you guy's notice the ambulance from Prince George (third row up from the bottom of the page)?

It's a 67 Grand Parisienne wagon (a wagon with a GP front clip).

Man I would like to find one of those some day!
