"The Frog" is a Pontiac powered Studebaker gasser that's been converted to center steer like a funny car. It's owned and driven by a local guy in my area that goes by the name "Skeets". It's been around for a while...I don't think it's a recent build, I think it's a resurrection. His son has a newer version of the same car called "The Frog II" (or III) which has a modern cage and chassis, is left hand drive, and is powered by a big cubic inch Ford. Skeets was also affiliated with a 'Cuda funny car from the late 60's called "The Baltimore Bandit", but I'm not sure in what manner (he may have driven it, I'm not sure). Skeets used to cruise with us in Glen Burnie when we hung out at the Sbarro's restaurant on Ordnance Rd. On the street he drove an early 50's Willys Overland that was powered by an old school McCulloch supercharged Cadillac engine fed by multiple Strombergs...really weird machine but it ran like a raped ape. I see him from time to time at nostalgia events, but every time I try to get near him to chat, he's always busy with something.

I don't know if anyone has posted this one yet. I don't think anyone has. It's from Autoweek.

Gray Ghost was Swiatek's car...built around a '66 body. It survives today in unrestored and unmolested form. Talk of the current owner restoring it someday. I believe Pont406 knows the owner and has seen the car.

It is a 66 all fiberglass body, the grills being blocked off makes the front "beak" look more like a 67, I know a previous owner of the Gray Ghost, had the chance to buy it, needing restoration, back in 2000, it is now owned by Rich Lozin out of Chicago. he plans to restore it to it's former glory someday. here's a current pic of it. BTW, the other car is a 66/67 Dodge Coronet

The one next to the Grey Ghost is a '66 Dodge Coronet Post. Those are cool because you never see the sedans but they're ugly compared to the coupes. '67s are better though

didn't really nail down a "set" price from him, but he threw out a number a little south of 10K to see if i'd bite. I was laid off at the time, and didn't want to take that big of a hit to the bank account at the time. in hindsight, i should of stepped up and bought it! it wasn't advertised for sale at the time, he told me to think about it. however, word got around and he was made an offer, and the car was sold. feeling bad, he offered to sell me one of the factory 65 Plymouth AWB cars, 90% restored, needing only a motor (injected 426 Hemi) and lettering and a few misc items. for south of 100K, mind you this was back in 2000, like a dumba** i didn't buy that one either! car would sell for over half mil now!

I was in a four-up race once at Lions. It was a fast way to get through stock eliminations. After the race someone came to me and said it was good that I got out in front of the '57 T-Bird that was next to me because they got the back end of the car so out of shape that it would have hit me. I don't know how they managed red lights as two cars were on one set of clocks.
