Default "Bonneville" car from the movie

For sale. I saw this on the POCI board.

So has it been hacked with a Chevy like so many of the Movie Cars that have been "restored"? I use that word loosely.

I like the color combo on it.

No but with that spelling it's family. Do you think I'd get a discount?

How do you know there's a Chevy engine in it? There's nothing in the ad to indicate that.

That's what I'm ASKING. Most of the GM movie cars I've seen have been hacked up with one, I'm wondering if this one has also. Note the statement about recent engine and trans work in the ad.

Looks like a decent car but it's riding kind of low, i wonder if Kathy Bates had anything to do with that.

Guy I know out here bought the '69 Bonneville Convertible which featured in "Coyote Ugly"

That car had a 455 in it and it just howled. Felt like it was turbo assisted - it wasn't. I drove it once and couldn't believe the lift when you planted the foot.

Mate has since onsold it to a guy in Queensland about 3 years back and I believe it has featured in another movie. Not sure about that though.

The car had been repainted several times (badly) and it had shocking fawn velour upholstery. Last I heard it was stripped right down undergoing a full restoration.

I liked the look of that car in C/U.

I wonder if it's the same one used in The Last Action Hero? That car was red but had the same interior color.
