Yes NUNZI was the man - in the 80's he had a SC T/A 455SD that ran 8's .
Do you have a pic of that one--I have it somewhere .

Dang Keith, you beat me too it. I just downloaded the pic of that 63 and was going to post it. First time I've noticed the slight altered wheelbase.

That's one of the Swiss Cheese cars! (Monk King Van Winkle Pontiac car) Bill Blair found the car back in the 70's/80's,i think it has since been restored back to original "race" condition.

LOL!

Actually, I'm a little behind on my reading on that thread. I skipped pages 360 or so through 400...

It's hard to keep up!

Pont406 - thanks for the background on that car.

New here , but was a Pontiac guy for decades,(forgot most of what I did know then tho) I recently picked up a 63 Lemans 326/Auto (PG?) small window Sport Coupe to do a nostalgia car out of , no title(I can get one), but a lot of parts including a convert body.
So this post is timely. I used to have the address for a guy who made a kit to mount the 67-9 Camaro rearend under the 60 to 63 Temest/Skylark/Cutlass body's, but lost it. Anyone know who he is or how to accomplish this? Maybe its not nessesary for bigger CI Power? 421/455 Pont. to maybe a BBC 461 CI's(only cause I have a fresh one here) In the old days 421 cars used a stock style rope drivetrains and I really am not into a full tube chassis or major slice n dice of the stock body/chassis ,a cheap thrill plan is up for this car. so????

After looking this post over I realized it was probably the wrong place to ask this, Tech ? would probably be a closer place. Saw drag cars and jumped. Sorry.

You mean this one? I hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out.

According to the Dover Dragstrip website the owner of this '59 Pontiac was the first paying customer when the track opened for business in May of '61.

Oh well, I tried to just get the pic of the '59 but I guess I'm stuck with the whole page. Neat history anyhow.

Just 'cause I'm a nice guy, and I know you've got a '59, I cut the '59 out of the rest of the page and attached it here.
