Looks like the steering wheel is inside out. Note the mold marks at the 6 and 12 o'clock positions.

good one,but aren't the wheel bolt holes chamfered for angled allen bolt's?

look where the rear window defrost switch would be,looks like they put the decal on crooked.also, shifter bezel didn't have gold decal in 78.

Another good one. Kind of like finding the 6 differences in the two pictures in People Magazine. If the steering wheel is backwards, the allen bolts just wont seat completely. It is hard to tell from the picture, but I'd put my money on backwards. Also look at the rubber flash on the lower spoke.

i agree the wheel is on backwards, just not sure how or way they did it

look behind the scoop.the stripes don't go from the back of the hood up to and around the scoop, just used 2 peices, one around the scoop and one across the back.

I did not notice that. A first! How about the stripes together with roof rail molding. I think we have reached our "6 Things Wrong With this Picture."

Isn't that what happens after your put down the 32K and inspect it in your garage?

That car was for sale on Craigslist when I lived up there a couple years ago and is still is for sale on there. It doesn't have any of the stripes going down the center of the roof or center of the decklid either. 32K for a car with a $99 set of Summit black headers.

Didnt the Bandits have the SE stuff, and thus T tops as well?

No way would I give him $32k for it, now the one TAHItman did, well that one is worth some money.

Since GM never called them a Bandit car its kind of a vague term. Everyone that lives in my area refers to a 2nd gen firebird as a Bandit car regardless if it's black or white, blue etc...

SE cars in '77 were available as a hardtop coupe (Y81) in addition to the Hurst Hatch roofs (Y82), 78s were only available as a T-top (Y82) both Hurst and Fischer.

I messaged the seller thru Ebay for the VIN#. You'd think if your asking that price you would list the VIN so serious buyers can verify the car.

Craig,
All that and you don't say anything about the HORN BUTTON, it's upside down on that backwards wheel.....

I would also like to add that very few cars are worth that knd of $$$$$$ once they have had PG decals installed on them. JMHO

Yeah, I know its a term most people tacked on to the black SE. Its one of those big block 350 or 400 Pontiac things. Wasnt entirely sure if you could get the SE package without the tops. Heh, only have two of the black SE cars..

The experience I have had is any 2nd gen is a Trans Am even if its a Formula, Esprit, or base Firebird. Still not going to give him anywhere near that much, or anyone for that matter. IMHO Barret Jackson has every hockey puck with an old car thinking is a $30,000 car just because it got a new paint job.

1971WARBIRD had the horn button covered earlier. Actually I think the whole steering shaft could be 180 degrees off. I had one like that. The turn signal cancellers would not work in that case.
