Default are old torq thrust wheels safe.....bead????

Is it safe to use new radial tire on a sixties vintage wheel that used old style bead area on rim ? Flat surface instead of modern rim with swail.

I've had no problems with mine. I'm running 225-70-14 on 14x6, and 295-50-15 on 15x8.5. Balancing can be a problem on the 15x8.5's. Watch for heavy corrosion on the bead surface.
