UFO, That's what I was hoping not to happen.............
Hey Gary, go see if these will fit through your hole in the bottom of the brake light housing? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2x-11...spagenameZWDVW 26.6 MM = 1.04 " Ball's in your court, I'm off to church. Cold or not, go see! Charles |

There are many "bulb" type LEDs available with costs ranging all across the spectrum from value to obnoxious. The main thing to realize is that the LED 1157 replacements will give the tail light a "dot" of concentrated light versus the "filling" effect of an incandescent. The LEDs tend to concentrate light at a much narrower point. When you have a 66 - 67 GTO with wide tail lights, the LED bulb does not "fill" the area well.
It is for this reason that i have been playing with some LED designs to fix this issue. I'm not electrical engineer or such; rather, a guy who is curious and who asks, "why can't someone make this work better?" So, with that said, I'll get back to this sometime soon. If I can spend a little more time with "prototypes", what I'm creating will be nearly as easy as the LED bulb replacement but will offer the "filling" effect of the incandescent bulb too. Sorry I don't have it ready to show, but I'm working on it. I'll post up soon. Oh, remember that you need dual density LEDs to allow the brightness from running to brake light intensity. D:

68gtoMN, that sounds great. And that's for the info onthe "filling effect" that's missing with LEDs. I'm going to wait and see what ya got when ya got it ready. This is sounding good.
Oh, and another thought. Can you do sequential with the LEDs you're working on? And I volunteer to be your beta tester too.
