DID tci make a flexplate without the 6 2in holesin it ? A buddy said his does not have them. Thanks Don

Both of my TCI flexplates are solid

I would think they are solid for strength and to prevent cracking from hole to hole. DKFS

cheaper to build that way LOL
most replacement plates are offset drilled to match the balance of a factory plate. creates a slight imbalance like the Pontiac factory did it.
With no holes it makes it easier to balance when the motor is fully internally balanced

Just got off the phone with TCI. They changed design about 3 mounths ago. They claim they have the same strength. Don

Top452, if it is powder coated black like the solid ones, remove the coating around the crankshaft holes before installation. The coating will give and the plate will loosen up somewhere down the road.
