Default 69 c10 400 poncho boat towing project

i just picked up a 69 c10 for real cheap(almost free) that is really straight, is a a/c truck with all the stuff and the only rust is the outside rockers (20$ patch from LMC) im picking up a 68' 400 poncho for it and i have a fresh hd 7004r to mate up with it. i know im going to have to make my motor mounts, get a adapter for the trans, and prob a trans crossmember. you guys think it will be a good rig to pull my 3300 lb tandem axle boat? im going to post a question over about what cam to put in it

I have a 71 c-10 with a 455 turbo 400 and 3.08 rear gear.I tow an enclosed trailer and my race car up the mountains here in Western Md to the races in 3rd gear -tows awesome. The car and trailer are about 7000 pounds.I have a small crower hyd cam -close to the 068 factory grind cam-6H heads and a Performer intake -Qjet.I say go for it-you wont be disappointed. My truck also runs 15.1 just the way I tow with it.
