Question What clutch for a Super T10?

Looks like my Atlantis blue 79 W72 wants a new clutch after 21k miles.
Might be throw out bearing but don't know yet.
What do you guys recommend to replace it?
I want something longer lasting and stronger than stock but somewhat easily driven.
Centerforce?,others?

We've covered this before in the 70-73 section.

I think you would be very happy with a LUK replacement stock style clutch.
Very similar to your OEM unit but perhaps a bit better.

Stay away from the Centerforce units unless you are going racing.

You might want to quiz Norwood on this.

I think he was going to try one in his 70.

I agree with 2many........your car needs nothing more than a regular setup.
LUK is a clutch manufacturer that supplies to most companies who hide LUK with a "brand name".

You will need a fine spline(26), 11" clutch for that application. Get the flywheel machined too.

Stock style for me. But stronger.
Lukily there's a clutch shop in Chattanooga that I've been doing business with since the early 70's. They'll build anything I want. Usually for most street/strip performance applications they'll go stronger on the pressure plate springs, and put any kind of clutch together I want. Clutches gets tougher linings, HD hub with dual HD center springs, heavy duty plates and wave springs. They're great about over rivetting and leaving plenty of slack between layers. Everythings perfectly balanced.

Does take a little while for the left leg to get use to the added pressure.
They built my solid brass button clutches for the race cars, and guaranteed them not to
break.

I'm sure most big cities will have similar type shops that'll work with you.

I won't buy any of the stuff that the chain part stores carry. Tried for awhile, when I had the shop, on customers vehicles, and got tired of having to re-do them.

Had one last over 100,000 miles in a wrecker!
