^^ that Sprint cost more than my GTO. Mine had 3x2, 4spd, AM/FM, soft ray tinted w/s, f+r floor mats, deluxe hubcaps, rally guages/tach, safe t track, rear seat speaker, & console. It was $3590.59 ($2847.00 + $80 dest + $663.59 options).

Interesting that some of the options were different prices between the Sprint & GTO. EX: Rally Guage Cluster #448 was $83.65 on your car & the same #448 is $84.26 on mine. The front floor mats were $6.06 & $6.11 respectively. The AM/FM, console, & wheel discs are all the same price, though.

The Differance in price is probebly the time the car was built, the same options on the 2 77 Astre Formula's I have the paperwork on varied alot, 1 was built Dec 76, the other July 77, and almost every option was costlier on the later built car. It could be a difference in the models also though.

On my 66 Sprint with A/C, the power Alternator is run off the Power Steering pump, very strange set up. But they had a limited amout of room with the inline 6 engine, and couldn't fit a tripple pulley on the Crank.

I have no idea what the other charges would be for. But it does take a 2 groove PS pully also.

The PS part is the two groove pulley,
The Radio pc is just a funky capacitor, basically has a longer wire.
The idle control is just that, turn on this 126# of AC (actual wt of AC system) and it sucks so much power out of this six it needs this sw to push the RPMs up a notch

Ive taken ones that dont work electrically and ones that dont work mechanically and made good ones from them.

I have a 66 GTO convertible with: power roof, power steering, power brakes, 4 speed, power antenna, 355 rear, 4bbl, ralle guages, console, buckets and am radio. It was originally Cameo Ivory with a black roof and metallic red interior. I am staying with the metallic red interior but am changing to Montero Red exterior and a white top. The car also came with 14 inch r1 wheels but I am putting on 15 inch r2's. The body off part of the resto is done. Car is in primer and running great. Just waiting for paint and interior. I need to find a bucket of money so I can get that done and on the road.

Of course, it's your car and I'm not trying to tell you different...but I'll bet that cream and red looked awesome with the black top. That would really get my attention. One of the only ways I really like to see a cream or white car is with a red interior.

I agree that if a car has those colors that it looks good. I have always felt that a muscle car needs color on the outside to catch your eye. Thats why I went with the red with a white roof. I think it looks good, catches the eye and you wont bake while driving in the summer with the top up. I know, I know, it should always be down for driving, but sometimes the wife likes to keep her hairdo looking the way it was when we left. In short, no A/C = no black top.

Well, my favorite interior color for a red car is red so you're still in good shape.
It'll look great.
Funny thing about convertibles..I've only had two..but I found that I rarely let the top down except at dusk and after. In the summer sun, letting the top down always reminded me of standing right outside the shadow of a shade tree....and who would do that?

I had a 66 Sprint that was maroon /red metallic interior and white top.
Not a very good color combo if you ask me,maybe the red would be different but the maroon/red just clashed.
Im doing a guys 67 right now thats red/red. We'll see who well that turns out.I love a white(ivory) car with red interior and a red stripe.
