Default Demon ID?

This carb came on a motor I bought some time ago. I'm trying to figure out what model it is so that I can sell it since I won't be using it any time soon. I've been to the BG website and they have an identification guide using the numbers on the carb- this one doesn't have any numbers? Also several models look the same in the pics. Anyhow, it's got 1.75" throttle blades.

I'm hoping someone here is familiar enough with Demons to help. Thanks in advance.

Cool

Not sure on CFM's but it looks like a "race demon" version because of the lack of a choke horn.

Measure the throttle blades and that will give you a big clue. Also trying to measure the venturi size-harder to get that with the booster in the way. Their web site has all the specs for each one. Either a "Mighty" or race. I'd lean toward a Mighty."Speed" Demons have a choke tower.

It's definitely not a "speed" Demon, like mentioned above, they have a choke horn on them. Did you pull one of the bowls off to see if there is any stampings on the metering blocks?

Is that the one you got from me? If it is, it's a 750. Tom V. worked his magic on it before I got it. Tom should have more info on it.

No, the one I got from you has a number on it. That one'll be up for sale too. I've got too much stuff around that won't see use for the foreseeable future. I've got to clear some stuff out just to get the garages cleaned up. Getting a few bucks won't hurt either.

That's the mighty demon. It's like the race demon except that it has the vacuum port on the bottom for the pcv.

BG has a pretty good site that will tell you all about the carb.

http://www.barrygrant.com/demon/default.aspx?page=3
- general ID page

http://www.barrygrant.com/demon/defa...e=29&specs=29d - Mighty Demon specs.

These should get you what you need.

If you look on top of the main body by the secondary vent tube there should be 2 digits. I can tell you it is definitley a Mighty Demon because I can see the dimple there but can't make out the digits. 28 would be 650 , 40=750 , 42=825 and 56=850.
