My wife currently owns a 330 convertible. All is good with it, but she feels more comfortable with my car (outback) in the winter.
Just realized you can buy an a4 vert with quattro. Any feedback? |

I have an A3 S-line; same chassis, engine & tranny as an A4 with the exception of the Quattro option although I'm not sure the A3 comes with a stick. S-line has the Sport suspension, and is better optioned.
Great car; nimble, responsive and very fun to drive. I've had it 2.5 years, I've put 30k on it since I bought it; twice the coil pack on cylinder #4 has gone out but that was replaced under warranty. The second time that happened I just limped it to the Audi dealer 10miles away, no problem. Mine has the cold weather package (heated seats & outside mirrors, etc) which is great. The 2.0T gets better mileage than the 3.2 V6; I personally don't like 200hp to the front wheels but you won't have that problem with a Quattro. My long-time Volkswagon mechanic (I've been taking cars to him for 15+ years) works on Audi's as well; he said the S-tronic transmission is "BULLETPROOF" (his exact words) and mine has the paddle shifters which are pretty fun; it was on his recommendation that I ended up with an Audi. Hope that helps, let me know if you've got any other questions and good luck! There's a TON of used cars on the market. You should be able to find something cheap; mine was a factory loaner, it was less than 1 year old, had 8k miles on it AND the full factory 100,000 mile extended warranty. Happy hunting.

My wife has an 08 A4 quattro. I like it better than the Mercedes C230 she had. The Mercedes was rear wheel drive and it sucked in the snow, had to buy snow tires, wouldn't go through two inches of snow. I didn't drive her Audi much in the winter but she said it was great. Only complaints I have is that the brake pedal is too close to the gas and the wheels are a pain to clean, should have got the five spokes.
