Default type of oil rear axel

Question..

To all of you that have GM 9-Bolt BW 3,27 cone diff. RPO.GW6

The recomended oil is. GM Part no. 1050010. 80w-90 Modified GL-5.

This is no longer available.

What do you use whith good experience.

I use a good GL-5 gear oil ( what ever is on sale ) and the GM anti chatter additive the LS units

I prefer to use the synthetic fluids such as royal purple. This becomes more important if you do any performance driving or racing with the car. The regular gear oil can get burned up running track day events or the like.
