John Kilgore is the man when it comes to gear sets
http://www.kilgoretrans.com/ i've used his 2.75 low gear set in my 9sec GTO and had no problems with it & all the support behind his product .
just call him 818 767-4480 and tell him Harry refered you over and he will take care of you ,super nice guy deal with

I ended up going with Chris at CK Performance.. http://www.ckperformance.com/

He says he makes his own units from scratch.. I'll post a follow up once Cliff is done with the tranny.....

You have to pay attention to how many planetary gears are in them .. the cheaper units have fewer and can break with good torque and traction..
I do believe the better units are 6 vrs. 4 count for the cheapies..
