Default Performance Years RPD95A junk Mirrors

I bought a set of RPD95A mirrors from Performance years a few years ago that I never used. The mirror on my Olds broke so I used one until I got a replacement for the Olds. The Olds sits in my driveway most of the time. After one winter look at this.......

I can't believe I payed $100 for two of these mirrors...

If you want a good quality morror, look on e-Bay under Yankee. They have real American made old fashion chrome with copper and nickel..

I guess I'll pitch these mirrors in the same place as the Ames plastic power window buttons that melted on me.... I got a NOS set of buttons on e-bay.....

That is not normal for those mirrors. We get those mirrors from Ames and they have always been real good quality. Are you sure they were on the car for just one winter? Because i checked out your 'Yankee' recommendation and he hasn't sold anything since 2007.

Before you throw them out, let me check and see if I can get them replaced. Shoot me a PM with your real name and zip code.

Ok, I know that company. I've seen their stuff at Hershey I'm pretty sure. Very nice US made stuff. However, they don't make the GTO mirror. You'd have to send them your original to get rechromed. Two problems with that. 1. It will be more than twice the cost. 2. The big problem with the original mirrors is the pivot point. They have a tendency to sag. I'm not sure if they can fix that problem while rechroming the part.

Shoot me an e-mail with your name and zip so I can get return paperwork ready for you for Norwalk. ccass@performanceyears.com

64, thanks for the zip. We have a return made up for Norwalk. Did you save the boxes or do you have a receipt? The length of time you had them is not a problem for exchange. I do want to confirm they are in fact RPD95A mirrors. We don't show a record of you buying them from us.

Maybe at a show? Either way, I know that if they were the brand we carry, AAE would almost surely replace them. They shouldn't look that bad even after 2 or 3 harsh winters. Bring them anyway. We'll have a look.

Default Hey, Chris...

I'll take you up on that. I have a set I'd like to return. I'm pretty sure they came from PY. I can bring them to the Nat's. Thanx. Ron Landis. PS...may be under Kevin's name.
