Default 69 remote mirror?

Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me if the remote mirror on a 69 Firebird/TA is the same as a 69 GTO? The manufacturer lists them as the same but I just had a guy say it didn't fit right on his Firebird.
Thanks!

Default Mirror

Stacey:

My '69 Bird had the remote mirror when I purchased it. It fit kinda funky- like it wasn't really happy at the angle it needed to be. I restored the car and put a non-remote mirror on it- with the standard inside door panel. Then I sold the mirror on ebay. I suspect Pontiac thoght the mirror fit well enough to use on both cars- and the Birds just got short shrift. But, that's just my amateur opinion.

Thanks for the reply! That's the exact complaint our customer had. We'll put a note on our system to warn people that they don't fit well
