Thank you guys. I appreciate the comments...Yes someone did spend a ton of time bringing her back. From what it sounds like, he was a big time Pontiac fan. Unfortunately I was never able to meet the person who restored the car, but needless to say when I saw it I HAD to have it. I had my heart set on a triple midnight green 69 and I missed one by days. Shortly after that this one fell in my lap by a really strange course of events. I had ever seen the Castillian Bronze color on a car before. With the black interior and top it's a beautiful combo. I love this color. The triple green quickly faded away when I saw this one in person. I can't tell you how much I love driving this car, and I am sitting here typing this looking out the window at over a foot of fresh snow and 35 to 40 below windchills. =( so that won't be happening anytime soon.
I have always wanted a 69 and I don't know if I would be able to find one much cleaner. I paid for it, but IMO worth every single penny. I love this car.

Keep posting your rides guys because I love these GP's!!!!!

Looks like you're running red line tires. If you don't mind what manufacturer and size are they? Front and rear the same size? Any regrets?

The pictures are a few years old and I don't have them on the car any more. They were Diamond Back Classics ...not the best tires and they were old and starting to come apart. Just have std Blackwall tires on it right now that are 225/70/14's. I don't drive the car very much (too many cars and not enough time!) and the sitting has taken its toll ...needs some brake work and it's got an issue with the posi. Driver pwr seat motor has locked up as well. If I didn't have to work I'd have time mess with all my cars !! :-)

Sweet car. I love the loaded interiors you could have in 69-70 GP's - Leather,Wood wheel etc..You have two options that use rocker switches next to steering column.Tough to see but would assume rear de-ice and reverb since your car has A/C and the only other factory rocker switch I have seen is power flow ventilation that uses these.Just curious if these are the factory positions of those option switches.The 1969 Pontiac service manual shows that and I am adding reverb to my car and looking to add rear de-ice down the road.Just want to plan out my cutting of the dash inserts without any mistakes. I am an option nut with these cars and have many that I have collected.Thanks for any info, Mike

I love the 69 GP interior, especially the leather seats. Not sure which car you were looking at but I will try to attach a few photos for you. The switch on the far left is the wiper, then the defroster is to the right and then the reverb is even further to the right. I believe the flow-thru ventilation was on the panel on the right side of the steering column but I could be mistaken. None of my cars have all 3 switches in 1 car and I don't think I have ever seen that! Also for 1970 the wiper switch is completely different and some people get 69 and 70 confused. I put 1 photo of my 70 in here for reference.

One of the photos did not attach, will try again. The reverb is even further to the right from the wiper switch than the defrost. Perhaps someone has a car with both reverb and defrost? The photo I will attach is the same car as the 2nd photo from the left in the previous post - a 69. You cannot see the reverb because the steering wheel is blocking but you can see the larger space between the 2 switches.

Thanks for the pics MRGPHO.Those are set up nice. The pic I was referring to is Brucee70's 2nd picture of the 1969 SJ 428 4spd that he posted on 2-27-14.It shows the wiper switch and 2 others on the left side if steering column.

Mike ...Thx ...the positions of the switches on the left are original. I haven't had a 69 dash apart in a number of years but I think I remember that on the back of that insert there are outlines in the plastic where the extra switches go. You can use that as a guide to install extras. Mine are reverb and electric rear glass.
