Default 70 RAIII 4spd Carb?

I am new to this forum but have a question about a 7040273 carb for sale. How do I know that it is legit and not a re-stamp? Are there other numbers that I should be looking for? Any info. would help.
Thanks

With the downturn in the economy, what are they selling for now?

Real ones still get big bucks Doug, the 270's somewhat less.

70KLW - post some pictures, we can tell you if it's legit.

Jim (judges4u?) has a restored one for sale. He's a member here, retired Marine officer, and have done much business with him. Let me know if you want his contact info.

Thanks guys. No bargains on them yet then.
I think Jim has offered one to me in the past. Might have been something else Judge related.
I'll have to live without it I guess. Still too much for me.

That's probably good enough for me--restamps.

I paid $150 bucks on craigs list for it. Hopefully it shows up. I figured for that cost it was worth the risk? If I ever get it I will post some pics

How long has it been since money was sent?

I can send him a request for info if add still posted, to feel him out if you need the help.

If carb is complete or even mostly complete, with a price like that I hope he ships it.

Scott,

Thx for the vote of confidence.

Ebay is like any other selling venue; buyers must do their homework. Seller and feedback and reputation are critical. Again, "doing homework" is the most crucial aspect of buying off of Ebay.

For those looking for parts, I am selling real legitimate parts for the most part at no reserve on Ebay. No handling charges.

Jim
