Default who would you use to turn a crank down

i have a 3.25 main billet crank by crankshaft specialties..it has been repaired, and is ready too use..but i am thinking of turning it into a 3.00 in mainer..its a 4.00 stroke..who would you send it to, and why?

or does anybody want to trade for what i want?..

they have done all my cranks in past and current and all the other Pontiac racers in southland and many recognised engine builders use them such Mondello performance -Lambeck racing and so on .

how are those 62heads doing ?

There are many good crank grinders out there, the main problem seems to be communicating EXACTLY what you want.

I would also go with Castillo. Another option is to go with the manufacturer of the billet crank.

Crankshaft Specialities in Tenn ain't the same as it was years and years ago. They have developed a bad image and quality over the last 10 years with racers. Do a search on other forums.

i'd bet this crank is older than 10 years..lol..but its good with the 3.25 main now..just thought if i could cut it down to make a 3 in main, i could go faster..

Seriously, I agree with making sure the communication is good with whomever you choose. Some guys have to be told more than once.

Turning the mains still has to address the thrust width. Bet you could sell it to a 3.25 guy and get a new one with 3.0 to start with.
