Now the guy who bought it from me says i never said it was a clone i sold it for $8300.00 read has add on E-Bay now. he even cut and pasted my wording in my add and left out some important notes i made. now he says he will cut his losses if he can get at least half of what he paid for the car $ 16.000,00http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190344818613&viewitem= &sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

He claims to have $32k in it? Must have been one hefty shipping bill!

Does he realize the vin is listed in your auction & it is not too difficult of a trail to follow?

After reading the auction I almost get the impression the lister is saying that for "dramatic effect", that is to show what a convincing "clone" the car is (...especially after reading your original auction).

After reading your ad,it is obvious he has no case. The guy is a representation of some of the classic car dealers, they will go to extreme lengths to omit information,or word their ads,to influence the buyer(Keith's statement)e.g. If you sell a product(him),you are supposed to know your product! A guy should be able to tell Safe-T-Track ,etc.
32 K in the car? Come on now. That isn't the first freakin' lie he has told in his career!
I think I'll EM him and see what he has to say.

I emailed him last night....

I'm interested in your car, but that same car sold for $8300 last month, you state you want 1/2 of what you paid for it, which would be $4150, not $16,000. Which is it?

His first reply was ..... "??????????"

So I tried again, "I was watching this auction last month,#300343183231, seems to be the same car (same content in the ad as well), it sold for $8300, you state you want 1/2 of what you paid for it, which would be $4150, but at the bottom of your ad you say you want $16,000, which would be double, just wondering if that was a typo.."

His Last reply "Sir, I am listing this car for a friend, also you see this is a no
reserve auction and continue to insult by offering $4150. if
this vehicle was truly sold for $8300 you should have
purcased it. I have been emailed 3 listings from fellow
ebayers one says car sold fir $8300, another for $15000, and
another for $7255. This is a no reserve auction, you see it is
currently at $12000 why would you offer $4150? This is
insulting on your part, if I started the car at $4000 no reserve
and there are bidders who think the car is worth more I have
no control over this situation. Thank you for the info and God
Bless!"

e mail seller sent me: I see you've found your old car, Yeah she looks great, had a couple issues
taken care of, and I meant to call you and give you my appilogies , but I never
stored your number. Well put new p steering pump, got front bumper and lower
quarter repAinted, stress crack on front bumper came back again, i know you
wanted 8,000 but i ended up winning the car fair and square for $8300, i was
pissed when i got it because, i took it to a mechanic down the street from
meband he scared the vrap put of me , then i got a second opinion!!Just bare
with me, I was diagnosed one month prior to buying your car with Hashimotos
diseAse and have been very irritable. I had my friend start the car at $4200 no
reserve and he tells me it's at $12,000. . Oh by the way I never left you
feedback, do u want it? I just bought a 73 sd . Email me your number we'll
chat..
Thanks and God Bless
Jeff

Question

So, how is it that this guy is selling the same car for $4K more than you did, using the same sales venue?
