I don't remember if it was a '71 or a '72, but I'm thinking it was a '71.

My current 73 T/A! Finally put on some 2" lowering springs in the front, found some original 15 x 7 JJ Rally II"s with Cap and rings.
It was sitting in the guys fathers basement in San Jose, CA for 25years. The boxes looked bad and mildewed, upon opening them and pulling the wheels out, besides box residue, no rust, the caps and rings looked in very decent shape. Like they were just removed yesterday! |

This thread has been going on so long, can't recall if I posted this one yet. Someone mentioned they like Green, OK, here's my one family owned, 46,000 mile, original, '72 Esprit. This is Springfield Green, with a Dark Green vinyl top & matching Dark Green deluxe interior. There's lots of Gold tint in this shade of Green. Very nice in the bright sun.

Before pictures - the starting point.
This is a '70 I purchased in 2005. It's been a long......slow......road. |

Thanks for the positive comments guys. You never know what reaction Green will get. It's definitely one of those love it or hate it kind of colors.
Interesting trivia,...this Esprit was sold at the same dealer my Red '73 TA (in my signature pic) was sold at, Parmenter Pontiac in Eugene OR. ![]() Can't find an engine shot at the moment, but here's an interior shot. Even the floor mats look new. Only the spare tire is missing. Still has the original single exhaust with the factory muffler (but with holes). Only normal maintenance items have been changed, battery, heater hoses, heater core (under warranty), normal tune-up items, shocks (but did score a date correct set of used spiral shocks), & tires. Did anyone notice the plastic front valance? Some have stated that early '72's didn't get the plastic valance, but as a 10D build, I'd say that's fairly unlikely. |
