Thanks in advance.
I put them in face up because it looked like there was more room...maybe i should be greasing them face down? I'll call QA1 Monday. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards putting them up because there is more room. Facing down they are right on top of the lower frame crossmember section and I can't imagine getting at them for future lubrication. I don't think it matters to the joint, just a matter of accessability.

Regardless I had to buy the 90* end for my grease gun yesterday. I couldn't get even close without it. I spent more time trying to come up with that fitting than it took me to get the arms in.

The Moser is a nice piece. Its thick and built like a tank. I bought the housing and axles through Moser. Then I got a Yukon center section, good for 1500 hp through Quick Performance out of Ames, Ia in a deal with a daytona pinion support and setup kit. Its stronger and cheaper than a Moser unit so its not a complete Moser. I then made a mistake by installing a detroit locker. I should have just put in a trutrac and been done. I don't like the locker at all. I had one in my Nova and it wasn't too bad but for some reason i don't care for it in the GTO at all. Maybe its the weight difference. Thats going to get changed out. I'm running a 3.0 rear gear but that's because of my richmond tranny. It's a 3.27 first gear, 1.24 4th gear and a 1:1 fifth. It acts like a M-21 and 3.73's through the first 4 gears and then its a 3.0 final drive 5th gear for interstate crusing. Iv'e got a bunch of pics if you're interested.

Your project pretty much mirrors what I'm doing with mine. I am going for a car that has a stock appearing body, interior, and under the hood but with bigger wheels and better brakes and suspension. My original engine is long gone, but mine was a 400 HO, 4 speed, A/C car, and I'm going back with a stout 455 and eventually a 5 speed that will appear stock.

I'm looking forward to watching your car come together!

Yeah it sounds like were on about the same page. I'm keeping an eye on your build on the pro-touring board. My handle there is Novaguy73.

Well i got my Legendary seats back. The guy that did them misunderstood me when i delivered the stuff and he kind of ****ed up but that's a whole other story. They turned out ok after he corrected them. I also fabbed up some 1/8" steel straps to move the seats back 3". 3" was a bit too much but i can adjust forward now. I still need to paint those. Anyhow the seats have a couple issues but nothing on legendary's part, overall i would say i'm happy. Here's a couple interior shots...

Man, those Legendary door panels look crisp, and it looks like they use a thicker batting under the vinyl than the PUI panels the PO put in my car. Do the seats still feel good and stable with the straps?

Nick..... Car is looking great!!!

The Sport seats look great, I was thinking about the ProCar Ralley seats, but heard so many complaints about they are higher then stock, this looks like a great alternative.....
The Rallye kit is foam and covers? Do they keep you in the stock position?.... just better bolsters?
LOL.... 11 years I have owned my GTO, and I have never been to the Legendary website..... I might even add the headrests to my seats!!!!

I bought the procar ralley first. I stuck them in and they looked terrible in the GTO. They looked small if that makes sense. The procars also had a shade of black that was lighter than the door panels etc. Then I sat in them and they weren't comfortable at all. I was sitting on the bolster and my head was literally in the ceiling on the lowest setting for the supplied and way overpriced brackets. Its a shame they don't make these in a bigger size because they did seem to be well made. If you do buy them let me know and I can save you a boat load on the brackets. I started making my own to lower the seats down and decided to send them back.

Well I got some of the SC&C stage II stuff coming in the mail. I got the Currectrac upper and lower rear control arms with Johnny Joints and the Helwig front and rear chassis mounted sway bars {as opposed to LCA mounted} They should hopefully be here in a week or so.

If anyone is interested in ....

-Boxed stock upper and lower control arms with practically brand new rubber bushings featured earlier in the build post {1 year of use}

-Edelbrock/QA1 Adjustable rear control arms with johnny joints and both set of adjusters for 64-67, and 68-72 {3 months of use}

-1.25" Front WS6 sway bar/poly mounts [1 year of use}

-HD Bilstien shocks, all 4 corners {1 year of use}

PM me and we can talk about it

Ill be doing that when I change frames later this summer, along with the front SPC uppers and lowers, springs and varishocks. I talked to Mark today about the varishocks I emailed you about. He said he was waiting to see how the new Ridetech H and Q series adjustable shocks were going to turn out but that it was going to take one hell of a new product to get him to sway from Varishocks.

Yeah. Theyre adjustable and extremely beefy. I think they use 1" adjuster sleeves and johnny joints as opposed to 3/4 like most of the others. The lowers are not adjustable but they're billet aluminum to reduce unsprung weight. Not to mention theyre a work of art.....

I have my front end together and the Ridetech shocks are pretty nice. The ride is firm but not harsh. The shocks that I am using requires the shock stud location to be drilled out to 3/4" to allow the shock to mount properly to the frame. I used a uni-bit and got a little carried away and the hole grew to 13/16" I made a bushing to take up the difference with no problems. Always something.
