Default SCAM RAII heads on Ebay

Seller is advertising these are RAII heads from his 68 GTO.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-Pon...Q5fAccessories

He includes images from his photobucket account of a 1971 Firebird he dismantled. The #96 heads have a 1970 date code on them and are D-port heads. I hate it when people intentionally mislead on parts. I just hope some poor sucker does not purchase them thinking that they are RAII heads.

PHotobucket pictures: http://s939.photobucket.com/albums/ad236/ydmason/

Shame, really.

fortunately most people that would be interested in a RAII head know the hobby quite well already, and would only need to look at them for a second to know what they are, still you hate to see someone advertise them wrong

Them two end ports is round!

The last castings of RA II heads were in January of 1969.

Hes added a BUY IT NOW of $1500.

He probably cant figure out how to disable the questions that come in and get posted at the bottom.

Now he is saying they are 70 RAII heads and also RA IIV heads as told by a GM PARTS supply guy that came by.

Pretty blatant now, I would say.

Another questions stating the facts should stop things, hopefully before someone looses their money.

To whomever saw this thread and asked on Ebay about the date codes, you can see the codes in the first picture I posted from his photobucket account, which is listed in his auction. I have provided this guy with every clue, part number and way to verify these heads. Still, he posts information from unreliable sources. Shame really...

After looking over the photobucket link on the ebay page I don't believe they are round port heads I think they might be early 96 D-ports used on 71 400's

RA IIV ? I do think those had the combination round/D port heads. Very rare.
Notice with all the pics he has of the heads, not one shows the exhaust ports.
Also, there appears to be a '71' just to the right of the D< N casting on this head?

Now showing 0 bids.

I think the guy that asked about date codes was trying to get others to think about the codes and seller to share more info, imo

What I don't get is that he admits in his revised description that the heads do not have round ports...but still insists that they are '68 RAII heads.

Because he CLAIMS they came from a RAII GTO, although I am highly suspect that he even could know this to be true. In the Photobucket account is a picture of what appears to be a 71 Firebird to be dismantled. I wonder if the heads could have come from this car... Hmmmmmmm

This isn't the first seller to think they have something they don't, won't be the last either.
