Default ?trick to timing cover removal?

I think I have all the bolts out including the two hidden at the bottom, and the balancer off, but it's not budging. I can get a chisel in the top but it seams at the bottom it's real tight.

There are 4 bolts you cannot see unless you are looking from underneath the car that go, as was said, to the timing cover from the oil pan. To hold the timing cover on to the block/pan are 10 fasteners: (bolts or studs). You typically do not have to remove the studs.

If you only have 2 from the bottom where the pan bolts to it, you need to take out the other 2 then it should pop right off!

Balancer off, then 6 3/8" coarse bolts for the cover itself (the two in the middle are usually studs with nuts on OE assemblies),the one bolt that pulls the intake manifold to the timing cover, and the four 5/16" coarse bolts (OP bolts) underneath for the pan rail.

That's the minimum to remove the cover.

Hope that helps.

Also, when you end up replacing it, put some anti seize lube on the threads and shanks of the long bolts and studs. They can corrode so badly, it can seem like they're welded together.
