headers
What brand header will fit my 1973 Ventura with a three speed trans? I would also like to swap the two barrel set up to a four barrel and change from a point dist to an electronic. Any help is appreciated. 350 engine

sure. Same headers as a 67-69 Firebird
a good easy to install budget set would be the blackjack headers You can put a factory 4bbl intake on from any year between 67-79 but the easiest would be the 68-70 intakes because there is no crossover port mismatch and it has provision for the throttle bracket. They are also the best for performance. However you are limited to using a quadrajet carb If you want a squarebore carb use a Performer intake Electronic ignition. Get a points replacement module from Crane. XR-i. They drop in like a set of points and have a built in rev limiter for safety. I believe pertronix or mallory also have a drop in unit too. |

Thanks for the reply. the quad carb will be fine and the swap on the dist sounds easy. I live in central ky and will check out some local yards for the intake and carb. May hold off on the headers for now...It looks like the heads on the manifold bolts are all gone and I don't have a lift. Happy new year and thanks again.
