First of all I wish all a healthy and prosperous 2010.
Brew - the 74 SD 4sp on ebay was alos listed here on the forum, as you know, as: 1974 SD Trans Am-4 speed-red exterior-black interior. Very solid car from the south. Price is 40k-FIRM NO TRADES Although for you apparently the price was $50K with a bit a trash talk coming from the owner! Did anyone from the forum end up with the car? Just curious as it went for $30K and the reserve was met.... ($40K min???)

Yeah, I was not aware of the car being a project car without pictures with that ad, but I guess I raised some tension along with the Jimmer ?
Not sure who bought it myself but will be seeing it at a show soon Im sure. LOL, Brew |

I wouldnt take it personal. For some reason that member always gives people grief about wanting pictures, but this was an obvious reason why a picture is necessary sometimes....
In NE Ohio we just got 20 in of snow over the last 36 hours. Typing away on the first post I heard a loud "Thud" outside. Sume guy in a Dakota just augerd in my ditch. ![]() Guy was so far in I could only see the window above the snow! ![]() Wrecker is on it's way now.... Ouch.

The last REAL NICE '73 SD bid up to $105,000.00 on E-Bay a few months ago. He's a friend of mine in Florida who has had the car a long long time. It did not meet his reserve as he was set on $125,000.00. Pretty tall grass for these times. I think the 105K was reasonable in these times for a high quality SD auto. Will definitely see them higher when market turns around.

johnta1 - I guess it depends on the condition. Restore a muscle car has a 73 SD-455, Buc Red, Auto, A/C, car. It needs restored but all there and drivable. It was $53K late last summer but they have since removed the price.
http://www.455transam.com/73sdred/ Superdutybob - I bid $32K plus a Golden Retreiver pup....

It always makes me wonder when a auto-body shop sells a car that needs a complete restoration. I mean if there not doing it to turn a better profit and more or less free advertising how come ??????????????????????????

Because they know that they will be upside down on it when completed. They see what it needs and you don't because you're looking at pictures.
If there was money to be made, everybody would be doing it.

No way in hell could I expect to make a buck on the car when I'm done. The costs of restoration are astronomical if you want to do it right. And mine didn't even need any body work. I cant imagine the costs if it did. Even though I'm broke now, the satisfaction and excitement is huge. I guess I'll be keeping it.

[QUOTE=Father&Son73T/A;3878875] Do you mean drives or accelerate? It better beat the '79! Although the '79 might drive nicer.
