Silla Radiators????
Has anyone ever tried one of these radiators?

The radiator has crimped on plastic tanks with an "O" ring. Lotsa oem radiators out there like this. I have mixed reviews as my truck leaks some in freezing temps. I have replaced the o rings and recrimped it twice. I would opt for a welded aluminum radiator if it were me.

I hate to say this but as usual you get what you pay for ! I continue to not understand why someone would want to put the cheapest radiator they can find to protect the most important and costly part of their classic car. Guy's give it some serious thought as to what you are trying to protect, think about it. Our builds are very expensive and I for one will spend top dollar to protect my top dollar vehicle and drive it with confidence anywhere I want to go.
I have nothing to gain by reccomending a certain shop but my money is on the Mark 7 Radiators. www.mark7radiators.com out of Bay City, Michigan (989) 922-7335. .080 thick wall aluminum tanks, two 1 1/4 cores which would equal a five core radiator, anodized in any color you want or raw aluminum, custom machined billet tanks as an option, engraved with mutiple logos and or designs, names, Pontiac Arrowheads, "We build excitement" etc...Very nice quality they offer. I am, by far, the cheapest one around. I just installed a $455 copper/brass oem style 4 core desert cooler in mine. That's more expensive than many mif aluminum ones, and all I'm protecting is a plain/jane 68 ys 400 with over 280k on it. What's an engine like that worth? Runs well for the mileage so I ough to value @ at least $500.
<I continue to not understand why someone would want to put the cheapest radiator they can find to protect the most important and costly part of their classic car> It's the same reason someone dumps 100k into a 8k car and installs wheels that don't fit. |

Desert cooler here also. Reminds me of the old day's big and hheavey! I was forced to by a Chinese Radiator for my Cummins Diesel truck,I bought it from Napa. Man I miss the Old days of being able to by quility American made products.
