Default 1968 GTO emblems

Hi, I'm a new GTO owner. My GTO has no GTO emblem on the rear 1/4. Was this an option. It is a real GTO I checked the vin and body tag. Thanks for any information anyone can provide. Jim

68 GTOs got 1/4panel stickers. I've used 67 GTO 1/4 Emblems on all (~4) my 68 GTOs.

That means aligning & drilling.

1968 GTOs used the same decal/sticker as the 70-72 GTOs did and they are inexpensive and available right here from Performance Years. They were made in white, black and red depending on the cars color combo.

If interested, you can go to my site. I have an 'ID guide' section showing all years and models of Pontiacs. There is a pic of a 68 GTO with the decal in the correct position.

Just FYI - the quarter stickers washed off our new '68 GTO the first time we took it through an automated car wash.
