Fieros are always light in the front. I suppose the rake helps offset that. However, those wheels..... Who thought they were worth making and why would you pay 2 grand to buy them?

How could you use a Muncie 4-spd in a rear engine car?
That car looks something you would see at the county fair tractor / truck pull.

(gas monkey charger.) Would you buy a car that needed new rear tires by 888 miles?

Also, there's nothing like buying a used car from them and having any future warranty claim denied by Dodge - all the dealer has to do is perform a google search for videos of them beating the crap out of the car and they have enough evidence for a denial. Gotta agree with ya Steve. Someone is about to get the shaft. Tho scrod is more like it.
They say it's preproduction? I thought all preproduction cars weren't sellable and were scrapped.

Check it out http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/cto/4938388648.html
"I have a 1968 Pontiac GTO hardtop coupe for sale. I purchased it at an estate sale. It is a one owner car. It is factory pink. I have all the original paperwork where the guy bought the car brand new. It DOES NOT run and drive but it has the v8 engine and automatic transmission still in it. The odometer reads 38k miles. It has power steering, power antenna, air conditioning, and many other options for that year model. It is in pretty rough shape, but a very rare car..." |

You have to remember that The Mary Kay Comp. was giving away a lot of Pink car to promote there cosmetic comp. back then & they did give away Pink GTO's to the sale women that beat there sales quota. So yes this could be a real Pink car bought & givin away by Mary Kay Thats why it may be so well equipped .

![]() That pink LeMans has been on the ultimategto site for years. Has the special paint data plate to go with it. I think it's legit.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's a LeMans but we're all used to guys advertising Tempests and LeMans as GTOs. I just saw a 4 door Tempest on another thread advertised as a Tempest GTO.
One thing for sure is that all of the '68 GTO special order paint cars I've seen came with the chrome front bumper. I don't think Pontiac would sell you an endura with the special paint as they were still working out the kinks with the adhesion issues.

Wondering Out Loud if that "Pink Mist" OEM color was a solid or metallic paint? Conflicted w the "Paint-Solid Special" v "Pink Mist" descriptions. CL car in question appears to be a solid color, yes? |

What's missing in this discussion is what a POS that pink GTO is. From the looks of the exposed sheetmetal and that vinyl roof, I hate to imagine what the metal under that roof looks like. Or the floorboards. Barring more information than what's shown in the ad, I think "factory pink" is debatable, too. That's pretty obviously a re-spray.

My feeling is that it was a non metallic paint.
Speaking of metallic vs non metallic colors, if you look at the standard paint chips from '68-'69 at least, I've noticed that all of the metallic colors use the word 'Poly' in the naming...but...notice that Windward Blue was one of the special codes for '68 and it does not use that word. If you look at a '69 paint chip card when Windward was a standard color, it is called Windward Blue Poly.... So does that mean they added the metallic as it became a production color or did they just not use the word Poly when it was a special color? ![]() http://thefirstgensite.com/library/p...ntiac-pg01.jpg

A couple of years ago I owned a pink 68 GTO with the special paint code on the data plate. It too was a chrome front bumper car with white vinyl top and white interior. A friend of mine still owns it.
