e states "he Knows what He Has" but lists a 63 as a 64? I don't even want to get into the asking price.

The Corvette is selling the vin number. You can't sell just the vin tag legally so you sell a car shell with the vin attached. Some scumbag steals a Corvette then attaches the vin tag from that pile of scrap.

"I chose to keep the original rear end housing and gears which some douchebag at Pontiac decided should be like a 290 ratio for the factory A/C cars SO - it needs to be changed. A 373 would do nicely!"

Anyone would probably hate that car with a 3.90 in it...It IS a nice looking '67 though....

Good thing that the $1900 price is negotiable. Oh, wait, that's $19,000 and with a salvage title.

Yeah, but it has a radio and horn. That's got to worth the $19,000.

We can pick on and tear apart his ad for days, but let us not forget he is moving, and a motivated seller. Someone from this site, with decent negotiation skills could end up with this GTO, especially if he can't take it with him.

Now, about the ad. It sounds like he did everything it takes to make a daily driver out of it. It's a shame he left it sitting in the yard afterward. If it runs (rebuilt engine, new exhaust, "brakes", etc), why wouldn't he drive it out of the grass before taking the picture. If it has a dead battery or something from sitting in the yard for two years, maybe he could have pushed it into the driveway, or at least borrowed a weed wacker. It drives me crazy when someone wants five figures for a car, but is too lazy to clean it up, or even cut the grass.

2 year old tires and it only needs a paintjob? Sitting like that in that lawn it'll need more than paint.

I think this would be down at about #98 on the things to do list for that car.
**Interior dashboard lights DO NOT work

That's right they DO NOT work. At all they just won't WORK!

Could be the deal breaker.

True but.... you could always wear one of those Lowes hats with the lights the brim to see the dash at night. Tho you might scare the crap out of someone you meet coming at you out on the open road. LOL

And the tires were new 2 years ago....That's gotta be worth somethin'...
Looks like it could possibly be a decent project if you could talk him down 15 or $16K

I agree that he is a motivated seller and that's normally good for the buyer. The only problem is that he is so very, very far off on his asking price that there may not be any reasonable middle ground. As the car sits, he's going to have to come down at least $10,000...probably more...unless the car is something very special like a RA car or Judge..

A "motivated" seller does not overprice their clunker by 4-5 times it's actual value..
