In my mind when we're talking muscle cars, base car means base engine. Judges aren't base cars mainly because they're all Ram Air. The owner took the crazy asking price off the ad.

That's generally my view. Judge, RA or HO cars are a cut above base....everything else is 'base' with differing levels of options.

Another gem with a painted bumper, chevy stripes and a vette motor.

On the plus side, I do like the color.

I'd bet good money that "GTO Resto Mod" has a VIN that doesn't start with 242.

If you can get past the hard to read wall of text, its a pretty neat project.

But I get annoyed when people explain to me all the awesome stuff a car came from the factory with. And then break the news that its mostly gone. Factory longbranches, thats awesome. It would be way more awesome if they were still there......

That car looks like someone took all the good parts off of it at one time, then stuck a bunch of duds in place to make it look complete.

And I'm sorry, for $50k it better not need a new master cylinder...

So the only thing special about the car is the special parts that were removed?

I kind of like it. I was there were more pics.

Years ago I remember a Smoke Signals article where someone did something similar to a 64 Tempest or LeMans wagon. It was silver I believe, and very cool looking.

Hmm, I could see some coolness to this if done up a little classy mad max stlye. All shiney black, with the grill being a shiny chrome, with a retro but still classic rim.
