It's been my experience that even in harsh climates, these cars don't rust like their predecessors did.....this however is the exception!

I agree on all counts. Another instance where "rare" certainly doesn't mean "desirable."

He probably means 354, the actual size of a 350, and miswrote it. He obviously knows very little about Pontiacs. He was probably sold a bill of goods, himself, when he bought it.
