I suppose if you need an OHC6 emblem. But that's about all that is good on that car. How does it even get that bad? What, did a train run it over?

funny thing,
I drove right past where the '66 Lemans 'parts car' and '72 Super Beetle 'project' are (within a mile or two) yesterday on a one day road trip. |

There’s someone on here who mentioned seeing it on the road occasionally. If it was local to me, I’d be tempted.

That pickup truck is intriguing as heck to me , for some reason.
Chopped roof , and a better wheel/tire package - I think it would be killer. Maybe even french in some 67 tail lights into the tailgate. Rows of LED sequential bulbs inside the tail lights. ![]() I better stop |

It's amazing what people will try to sell and the condition that stuff my be in. Most of the really bad stuff shown here would be perfect scrap metal, nothing more. But if you use the word "rare" in the description, suddenly it's worth a fortune. I've got a Rare 4 bolt main 455 Pontiac block with 4 sleeves in it and a huge crack right up the lifter gallery buried next to my garage. Wonder if it would be worth digging it up now and trying to sell it?

Just curious, but I'm wondering why you'd bury a block in your yard...

My brother used to be a Pima County Park Ranger. He called me one day and asked if I wanted a GTO that was abandoned in the desert that he was in charge of. I said "Heck yeah"! Went and looked at it. It was a rare 73 GTO H.O. 455 car. One of just a few hundred made. It was completely stripped down, and full of bullet holes. No drivetrain at all. It was a shame, but I had to pass on it. Wasn't worth hauling in for scrap metal either.

When Studebaker went out of business around here in 1963, a company called Allied Stamping bought the metal stamping building, the presses, and everything inside. Supposedly, when they filled in the train dock, to make a flat floor, they used whatever was around for fill. New engine blocks, any sheetmetal that was laying around, NOS parts of all kinds went into the pit, and was filled over with concrete.
