Good catch with the spare tire. Of course anything is possible. But even if it has been sitting locked-up since 1996, few people would buy a new car with a base 6-cylinder and drive it for 32 years, 750 miles a year. Thank goodness for 999,999.0 odometers today.

I'll be the devil's advocate here. Whose to say they didn't just throw a used radial on the spare rim, to 'comply' when a set of new radials became necessary to replace the ancient original bias-ply tires. It wasn't unusual for bias tires to be used up by 20,000 miles either. Also, just do some ownership history to find out if it's been an east coast car all it's life. It wouldn't likely be as clean as it looks w/ 124K, unless it was in a garage in Florida or something. The odometer digit alignment isn't 'skewed' as a typical rolled over unit often does. Even so, The odometer 'reading' isn't meant to be a claim of actual miles. The seller probably knows it's buyer beware, and might even disclose that it's actually rolled over if someone asks. You gotta be kidding me. Those rusty bolts scare me. ![]() https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/...979493940.html I'm a little concerned about the no title thing. Price is realistic though.

The engine has also been painted, look at the water temp gauge. Still if price is neg seems like a good buy.

Don't get burnt from this deal.
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/1966-Chevrol...EAAOSwWLddh9s0 The guy says only 600 were built with a bench seat and a column shifter. Yeah, right. |

Almost everything.
Interior consists of bench seat with transmission on the column. Ripped the column shift lever out, and stuffed a 'glide in it's place? |

It sure does not look like it has been stored in a "cool dry place sense the fire"?

First of the I have never seen rust like this??? Second the guy isn't selling just sending a warning to everybody??? Third the car is interesting even though it's a total roof rust bucket! Forth this has the very rare we're tail panel??? Last this has got to be a joke??? I do spy a Formula hood and a 4spd car.

The rust around the trim tag and spots on the roof were all I needed to see. I've looked at cars before that were stored under tarps for many years. They generally develop weird rust spots on the roof as with this car. I told him it was probably a rust bucket. He was hell bent on getting it. The seller got him all pumped up about too. He learned a lesson...

It also looks like the tag is being held to whats left of the rusty metal by dum dum, or J-B Weld. |
