A supervisor years ago, had an older K car wagon, with a manual transmission, 5 speed I think. Mid 80's

The plates correspond to 1971/72 issue so it's probably been a California car since new. You see that 'Top-Down' type of rust living next to the beach.

I don't see why he doesn't want anybody to make low ball offers on Pinky .
He would be blessed to find anyone willing to pay over 5k for it.

Only been trying to sell it for ,,,, a long time

I wonder where he got his information on only 8 built and only 2 to exist today. I owned one and now it is owned by a friend of mine. These cars did not have a paint code showing pink, they only showed a special paint on the data plate. That can mean it could be any paint other than a standard 68 paint that was offered. Mine was pink with a white top and white interior just as this one and it also was loaded with options, even was a chrome nose car as well.

Probably by selective mentions made on Pontiac forums.
This and your former car are the only 2 GTO's currently known to still exist.
No idea where the 8 total would have came from - maybe hypothetical math.

All of the 68 Spring Colors seem to be very scarce on 68 GTO's.
All of them had chrome noses.

Carnival Red has the highest count that I have seen represented on PY .
Less than a dozen though.

No one seems to want to have 100k or more invested in a Pink 68 YS Hardtop
Needs to be a RamAir 4spd car to save that sunken ship

Yes they do rust from the top down the closer you get to the bay. This car is little worse than usual, reminds me of my 64 tempest HO 326 4 speed I bought 25 years ago for $400. Did the 65 HO 326 have the same style air cleaner as the GTO 4 barrel?
