That is about as Base of a 68 Lemans Sprint Convertible as I have ever seen, 3-speed manual, manual steering & Brakes. The original Battery tray must have rotted away, as it has a V8 Battery tray in it, the OHC-6 batteries were mounted on the passenger side closer to the Starter.

Very nice looking car though. I agree rare model even when new, once the Firebirds came out in mid 67 the sales of the A-Body Sprints took a nosedive.

Yes an aluminum block with silica mixed in before the casting. Thought was it would not need sleeves in the cylinders. They were wrong! Also a single overhead camshaft with no lifters.

Wow. That's a heck of a first post!

I don't usually defend Bob but he lives where winter is usually 4 or 5 days long instead of 4 to 5 months. Very different lifestyles in the short day months. Bob probably missed the Kings home port listing.
