Yeah, people rarely pull Pontiac 296 engines from Z-28s. I'm surprised it hasn't been snapped up already.

Ya as the guy points out it can't be a GTO because it has a 235 VIN. in 65, HA ,HA I wonder if he even knows????? Because he sure doesn't understand.

Ha! This '65 Tempest includes the whole car for "only" $13,000. Probably still a rip off since it doesn't run. This is another seller who "knows what it's worth." (That there are a lot of collectors out there ready to pay top dollar for a non-running Tempest that's missing an interior.)

I'm in support of the guy exposing a phony GTO.

A local Pontiac guy here who used to live up toward the mountains (until divorced) and I were talking one day. I mentioned a 65 in a junkyard. He admitted he had the VIN to that car and needed the trim tag off of it. That was my first indication he wasn't a "who" and in fact is/was a "what".
