Sad thing was 2 years ago I had my T/A on craigslist for the same cost. Only response was some joker offering to take it to the wrecker - he declined my offer to meet in person. My T/A had minimal rust and was only missing the original hood and drivetrain.

I was just shy about revealing my personal location on the internet. My relative is selling this car, and I am communicating for her, since she is elderly and doesn't know how to use the internet. I think what she wants to sell the car for is a bit much, and I just thought if you would make a reasonable opening offer, that she would realize how unreasonable she was being and lower her expectations. Even though it is in great condition, I think it would probably only be worth $50,000, and even that would be a bit of a stretch, due to it not being an especially popular model (that I know of). I just wondered what a reasonable selling price would be. What would a car like this sell for, anyway? Please answer me, I'm just curious to find out.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay. I don't know anyone willing to pay $50k for it. Maybe a museum collection somewhere needs it. He needs to contact B.J. auctions. That is the only way he'll get a decent offer, while keeping her address and contact information hidden. Why would any one make any serious offer at all, without knowing where in the world the car is. Shipping costs could be ridiculous in comparison to the cars actual value.

All that aside, I think it's a scam. After several contacts come in, the old lady's health will suddenly be failing. He'll accept several offers via Western Union at the same time. The car likely does not exist. Buyers will be waiting in their driveway for a delivery that will never come.
