Once again, how is it a clone when you have a GTO title and everything else is GTO?? Not a clone in any way shape or form. Its not like taking a complete lemans car, taking the vin off a GTO and putting in the place of the Lemans vin. No, I believe youre defiently wrong in this care. Fill me in guys what do you all think????

If you build a car around a GTO then it's a GTO. When you build a GTO around a Lemans it's a clone. If you take the cowl from a GTO and put it on a Lemans then that's a clone. The only reason you would use a GTO cowl is so that the VIN on the Lemans is now a GTO VIN making it a "GTO."
If you have a GTO with a rusted out roof and a rusted out 1/4 panels and you replace them with Lemans panels then it's still a GTO. That's just how I look at it. But if you're building a custom car that won't be sold as an "original GTO" then who cares? But transfering the GTO cowl onto the Lemans just to make it a "real" GTO is wrong in my opinion. Might as well just take the VIN tag off the GTO and rivet it on the Lemans.

I will once I have the other car. I am picking it up on the 5th or 6th of March and towing it home on a car trailer. About a 300 mile trip one way. But worth it. How much is a straight rust free and damage free A body frame worth?? From the Lemans.
