My 69 FB has the OE 350 block with 73 heads from a 350 or 400? Anyway i changed the intake gasket and thats when i found out? because the middle ports on both sides are leaking.... I found some threads that said it can be fixed by useing the gasket from the 73 model and or using a block off plate? My question is? if I'm blocking those middle ports? I'm probably partially blocking some others too? i guess? I'm i losing power by doing this? This is a street car, a cruiser only. I don't race it, but do like to burn the tires from time to time
Or should i just invest in the right intake? and if i do, which one?

Please help i want to get my car on the rode ASAP....

The 2 ports in the middle are for the heat riser. Block them off and it will take longer for the carburetor to warm up. Not too big of a deal in warmer climates. To block them off, just cut a putty knife blade to cover the openings and hold in place with the intake bolted down.

no it's not supposed to leak.

what intake are you using, more info the better here.

like part numbers on the heads and intake etc.

supposedly a performer intake will resolve this across the board but you'll then have to figure out the throttle adaption for the cable doh!

I'm guessing since it leaks, you have a 69 intake and the 73 heads. weird.

I believe ur right i have 46 heads from a 73 and my intake is a edle brock preformer from a 69 350.

oh, I was wrong then actually.

The performer will work fine if you use the correct gaskets. I believe the info you posted is right but I cannot verify. The gaskets you use should match the year of the head.

The middle port is exhaust crossover and serves to warm the intake. It's not a performance affecting feature. The rest of the intake will match up with the ports just fine, so don't be too concerned about losing performance. Just fix the leaks and move on.
