Default 83 Grand Prix spoiler?

Is the Monte Carlo spoiler the same one that would have came on a 1983 Grand Prix? Thanks, Ken

No,the deck lids are different.

82-91 base fire birds are a bolt on.

TMK, no G/P came off the truck with a spoiler with the exception of the 86 2+2.

Thanks for the info Mike. I will start looking for one. I have a former drag car 83 GP that was Olds -powered that I eventually want to put back on the street. I have a 400 Pontiac engine I got in a deal years ago. Now am l
"learning" about the engine mounts, headers, yada-yada, slowly. Thanks again, Ken

Mounts are fairly simple if you can find them. 301 units allow the swap to be a bolt in.

Indian Adventures had a NICE fitting set of headers for that chassis. A diesel car will have extra frame supports that bolt on to help stiffen the chassis.

86-7 Grand National / Monte Carlo SS / Hurst olds 442's have an 8.5" Differential that will have decent gears and are a bolt in. The same info with Sway bars.

Thanks again Mike, I will be on the look-out for the 301 frame mounts and a set of headers. I probably won't get to it till the fall. I have a Ford 9" rearend to put in it. I just want a lo-comp pump gas street car, with alittle bit of power. If u see some let me know. Thanks, Ken

I don't have any right now, I will keep my eyes open tho.

When I do mine it'll probably have a corporate engine in it. Right now it's sitting with a W-30 455 Olds /TH400 /3:42 posi in it that I drove for yrs. Torque monster that made for a fun driver. I've been snagging parts for it was I find them, still need a couple peices to convert it to non A/C. Thinking of either a a TBI 350[ probably stuff that one in a truck] or a LTI out of a Roadmaster / Caprice with a stick behind it.

I've got the astheics planned out already, most of the chassis mods are done already and will just need a freshening up.

Thanks Jim! I put a lot of time and money in it. It also has a 9" ford with Eibach lowering springs all around, Belletech drop spindles, CE 3 way adjustable shocks all around, anti-rollbar, 6 point roll cage, fuel cell, Hotchkis upper and lower control arms, 200 4R tansmission built to withstand 850 horse, 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust and some QTP exhaust cutouts.

Here is another pic with the old engine in it.
