Yes I have one from snap on. Use it on Crower rods as that is how they set the torque on their rods. I like it very much.

Have seen them before but have never used one. I just mark the head of the bolt & turn it!! 1 flat is 60*, 1.5 flats is 90* etc etc. I mark one corner of the bolt & if I am going say, 120 degrees more, I mark the block/part 2 corners to the right & turn the bolt till the marks line up. I have painted stripes on the side of my sockets. I put the socket stripe on the mark on the bolt & turn till it lines up with the mark on the block, head what ever.

Yep,those are used alot on mondern engines using "torque to yeild" headbolts.

Any skilled line tech should be pretty familiar with them by this point in time.

Used those quite a bit when I was a tech @ the ford dealerships.

I'm a line tech by trade and see a lot of torque to yield bolts...like Bret said...head bolts..flywheel..some motor mount bolts as well...but I do like Keith says..the tool is nice but not necessary...Gene
