Default Northwind Dyno results

Just installed my new Northwind intake. All I did was a port match and put it on a chassis dyno. Bottom and midrange rpm's Killed the Victor, but, after about 6000 the Victor beat the Northwind by 8 hp and continued to carry a larger margin thru 6400 rpm where I shut it down. I did not use any carb spacers on either manifold during that test session. Victor peaked@473hp and 440 tq--Northwind 465hp and 460 tq. Torque peaks were the same@ 4900, HP peaks were about 6000. I will upload the graphs soon as I have time. Just driving around I can certainly tell the difference, Northwind is more responsive. Recently,I have installed a 1/2" spacer on the Northwind and will dyno that soon also. With the Victor, the car ran 10.93@122 1/4 Mi and weighs 3735 with me in it. Car.. 69 f-bird pw,pb,p antenna,
455 + 030 t-400, 4000 continential converter, 3:73 rear, E heads,10.9 comp. 264 630 roller cam. Street driven alot and going auto-crossing tomorrow.

Very nice! What were the average power numbers between the 2 intakes? Where do you auto-cross near Louisa, Steve? Any more info on your car, drivetrain and suspension specs, photos, etc? Around Richmond I get to squeak through tiny courses set up for itty-bitty Civics and RX7's in my land barge 66 GTO. I'd love to find a looser course set up for Vettes/Mustangs/big V8 cars to only knock over 60% instead 90% of the cones on

Steve - Thanks for posting up, good info! Is that a '69 Firebird you have it on and if so does it clear the factory 400 hood with no external scoops?

That's the $100 question all us FGF want to know.

Nice to finally start seeing some good feedback numbers.
