Default bbq time again in north western washington

Hey everyone its Joel. I'm part of the western wahington firebirds club and host a bbq every year at my house. I usually pass out flyers at the local cruises and invite the other local car clubs and this year I have a little bit different venue with more space. The dates looking like saturday July 17th at marysville speed and custom in arlington, wa 98223. The owner along with the firebird club and myself will be supplying food and drinks. He has also agreed to do half price dyno pulls with awards for highest and lowest pulls and if theres enough people we can rent the dyno for the day and do as many runs as we want. Burnouts are allowed as long as we don't leave holes in the asphault. People usually start arriving around 10am and we'll be heading to a cruise in in clearview about 4pm. Hope to see alot of you there, let me know if you plan on making it so i have an idea of a head count for food to buy.

thanks
Joel

That sounds like a great time, and it's only about 15 minutes from my house! I think I'll plan on attending with my two boys.

Look forward to meeting you too. I hope this happens, I'm surprised at the lack of interest thus far...

i used to do this at my house every year and would get about 30 cars or so then we all cruise to the clearview mcdonalds about 4pm. on a sunny day clearview gets around 80 cars so its a fun day. I always invite other local car clubs as well but pontiacs always been my favorite. I always invite the pnwcamaroclub, the legends gto club, the mopar club, and the ford drag team so if you know anyone else with a car they're more than welcome.

Too bad I don't live there still.

WWF is a great club that always puts on a good time, I encourage everyone up in that corner of the world to attend.

If you do make it Saturday, look for a Blue '79, a Gold '79 and a 2002 Firehawk - not sure what color that one is - parked together. It would be cool to meet you.

I should make it down there, my car will be parked nearby, not in the show.

Well we were at Clearview at around 6:30 PM for a break but wen't right back at the car till midnight and then started working on it again from 9:00 AM till 10:00 PM tonight! My arm is fricking sore from holding out a paint gun for so long!!!! Heres some pictures, When we got it , it was gray, then went to what was under it which was blue, then sanded, and sanded and sanded, and then we turned it black but had to scrape and use laquer and rags and razors to get the improperly mixed Epoxy primer back off. Then it went back to black, then to gray, then back to black and then to black on the hood and trunk and then blue all around and then unmask and 1 and a 1/2 gallons of clear. UGH WHAT A TON OF WORK!!!!!!!!
