just for fun
I am kind of bored and found an old photo album. Here is on of my all time favorite photos. This would have been about the 1st week of May 1983. I used my graduation money to rebuild the HO. I painted the manifolds white because I like them that way lol
To quote Rainman "lots more" If you guys do not mind seeing old pics I will burn the scanner up. patrick

Nice pic, I like the old pics. Brings back memories. Real pictures are better than the new digital stuff. I remember putting the motor in my '66 GP around the same time with a chain fall hanging from the front of my garage as I didn't have an engine hoist.

The one that got away!!!!!
Dang it. I did see this car heading to the Suds on Saturday night. I do not think the guy (with family) new what he was driving. The were asking 1500.00 in 1984. Alot of rust and no battery to start it. So I passed.

That 66 look s a lot like a car Bill Caudle, my wife and I went to look at in Terre Haute around 2005. Black on black 2+2 ragtop with a 421. The poor thing was rusted so badly you could poke your finger through the firewall and portions of the frame. The body was a scary bondo mess.
The owner fired it up and said, "She drives real smooth." I replied, "You actually drove this rust bucket?!"

I love the way the engine is in focus, and everything else is slightly out of focus...
Bonus point for the '65 GTO in the background. K

Thanks Keith
Thats my brothers convertible in the background. Originally a turquise car he had painted red. Iirc he went through 2 engines 3 transmissions and 2 rear ends. He beat the heck out of that car. His motto "if you got it flaunt it" The guy that bought it lived in Lawrence (outside Indy) He installed a 4 speed. I did see it going down pendleton pike one afternoon. Never to be seen again.

my first 66 Bonnie
This is how she looked when we brought her home. Paid 200.00 for her. Drove to Lafayette In. Unhooked the drive shaft and dad towed her home.
Originally had cruise controll and pw windows. I added an am/fm and a tilt wheel. Dennis Kirban posted in the lobby about fond memories with parants. One of mine is with mom. She and I would go visit junk yards about every saturday looking for the elusive tilt wheel. Of course the last yard in the yellow pages, Scarborough (sp) had a 66 4dr. So off we went. I was shocked and thrilled to see the tilt wheel. 25.00 later it was mine.

my 2+2 at IMS
the Hoosier Antique Auto show used to be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. You could drive your car around the track. So we did. Pictures are form my brothers 65 GTO convertible. The Green vette was told to get off the track. He came out of turn 2 and nailed it. Half way down the back stretch the track personel were standing in the middle of the track pointing to the vette to exit stage left. Iirc this was a week after I was able to purchase my 2+2. 3rd week Sept 1982.
