I knew someone was gonna say that,I just thought it was gonna be one of our Canadian friends that would be saying it.

I did'nt have any trouble when I was in SE. Wisconsin either, matter of fact my current 400 cid race engine came from up there.

It helps to move in the right circles, know the right folks.

I know a couple guys up there that probably have a couple dozen 400 cid blocks between them @ any given time.

Know some down here that have more than that!!!

Maybe I should start a pontiac "hoarders" show... LOL

Well, I run in the wrong crowds then

I just called on two blocks that are listed on craigslist and both are 557s. I'm going to take the XX block in to get checked and keep my eyes open for another 400 in the mean time. If I can’t find one, and the XX checks out, I’ll go forward with that block.

Thanks again everyone.

(me doing my best Bill Murray "stripes" imitation)

That's a fact,Jack!!!

Some understand it,some dont, but yeah your absolutely correct,I'm a no BS kinda guy.

Can even be a bit brutal @ times, but I try to tone that instinct down just a bit here.

I dont ever mean anything personal by that sorta thing, but I know that in the past, the folks that have helped me the most, often were the ones that were being perfectly blunt with me,and yeah I may not have liked that much @ the time either, but as things go,I have come to understand why some people are like that, and I've grown to respect that trait to some degree.

It just is'nt always an easy thing to translate into words like we do on these forums.

There's tons of Pontiac stuff in Ohio. This is Pontiac central. That's why the GTOAA and POCI have their conventions here so often. You need a new group of friends.
