Default Rear Leaf Spring R&R

Need to replace the rear leaf springs ('68 FB) - will I need to drop the gas tank to remove the upper shackle bolts - any tips on making this job easier - thanks.

What all do you plan on doing?
Removing the tank will make working on anything back there much easier. With it out of your way, you have easy access and manueverability there. As well, it affords you a chance to clean up the tank and surrounding areas.
